Located at our stunning waterside head office in Frankston and reporting into the Stakeholder & Community Engagement Manager, this crucial role will support the delivery of the Stakeholder and Community Engagement Strategy by ensuring all of South East Water’s strategic interactions with identified key stakeholders and community groups are built on transparency, trust and strong collaboration enabling delivery of our vision ‘healthy water for life’.

The role is responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of the South East Water Stakeholder and Community Engagement Strategy that identifies key stakeholders/community groups critical to the delivery of long-term goals and organisational obligations. The role will support the development, implementation and monitoring of sustainable relationships with specific government departments and agencies, water industry organisations, unions, large non-residential customers, key community groups, peak bodies and other relevant stakeholders.

What you’ll bring;

  • Relevant experience/accreditation in stakeholder and community engagement.
  • Experience in the supporting the development and delivery of a successful and sustainable overarching stakeholder and community engagement strategy
  • Demonstrated success in developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coupled with experience in effectively managing community and/ or water industry committees.
  • Highly skilled verbal communication, including the ability to inform and influence key stakeholders  and use judgement when sharing information externally
  • Previous experience supporting the delivery of key projects including managing multiple priorities, achieving milestones, undertaking research and data analysis, collaborating across the business and managing stakeholder expectations
